Stack Up: How the Daman Login Game Works

Stack Up is the game on Daman Login: one button, one tower, as many floors as your timing allows. Here is every rule, how points are counted and a few habits that add floors.

The rules

  1. The tower starts with one wide slab — about 57% of the field.
  2. A new slab slides above it, back and forth, entering from the left on odd floors and from the right on even floors.
  3. Tap to drop. On a phone tap anywhere on the tower or the Drop button; on a computer click, or press Space or Enter.
  4. Overhang is trimmed. Any part of the slab that does not rest on the floor below is cut off and falls away. The next slab is exactly as wide as what stayed.
  5. Miss completely and the run ends. A sliver too thin to stand on counts as a miss.
  6. Perfect drops earn keys. Land within a hair of the floor below (the game allows 4 units of 300) and nothing is cut. The slab snaps level and you earn a key.
  7. Three keys open a lock. 3 perfect drops in a row unlock a wider slab: it grows by 20 units, never past the starting width. A trimmed drop resets your keys.
  8. It gets faster. Every floor speeds the slab up a little, until it reaches top speed — roughly 4 times the first floor's pace.

Scoring

DropPoints
Any drop that stays on the tower+1
Perfect drop (extra)+2
Unlock on the 3rd perfect in a row (extra)+5

So a perfect drop is worth 3, and the one that opens a lock is worth 8. Your best score is kept in this browser. With a session from the website login, your best floors and run count are kept too.

Height ranks

Your rank comes from the most floors you have stacked in a single run while signed in. It is a label, nothing more.

  • Ground Floor — where everyone starts
  • Mezzanine — 10 floors in one run
  • Skyline — 25 floors in one run
  • Cloud Deck — 45 floors in one run
  • Orbit Suite — 70 floors in one run

Habits that add floors

  • Watch the edge, not the slab. Faint guide lines mark the edges of the floor below. Drop when the slab's leading edge meets one.
  • Learn the bounce. The slab turns at the same points every pass. Dropping just after a turn, while it is slow to your eye, is easier than mid-flight.
  • Protect the width early. The first ten floors are slow. Spend them chasing keys: a wide slab is what lets you survive the fast floors later.
  • Use the pause. If your attention slips, pause. A rushed tap costs more width than a short rest.

Accessibility

Every action works with one tap, one click or one key. The tower can be focused with Tab, and Space or Enter drops. With reduced motion turned on in your device settings, the camera stops gliding and falling pieces no longer spin. Sound is off with one tap and the choice is remembered. The game itself is on the free stacking game page.
